ERIC RAYMOND, MD, PhD
Since 2016, Professor Eric Raymond has been the Head of Medical Oncology at Saint-Joseph Hospital, Paris. Prior to that, he was Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, for 2 years and chair of the Medical Oncology Department at Bichat-Beaujon University Hospitals, Clichy, France for 10 years. He also worked for 10 years in early drug development at Gustave-Roussy Institute, Villejuif, France and at the Cancer Therapy and Research Center with Daniel D. Von Hoff at the University of Texas in San Antonio, USA.
He specialized in translational laboratory research and early clinical trials focusing on drugs and therapeutics with novel mechanisms of action, developed a large number of academic- and industry-sponsored projects bridging preclinical and translational data to clinical applications to accelerate novel drug positioning. He served as Principal Investigator in numerous First-in-Human and early clinical trials.
He is the author of more than 300 publications, co-inventor of several ongoing patents and chair of the PAMM-EORTC meeting.
Eric received his MD and PhD from Paris Sorbonne University (Paris 6 – Pierre et Marie Curie), France.
